This video shows and discusses digital video quality degradation after a multitude of recompressions. Here you will see the same video after being recompressed up to 710 times, stepping to it by powers of two. This video also takes note on audio gapping, with an example taken from BitView itself.

Especially, all the recompression cycle was left for entire night for as much as my computer succeeds to make before I wake up.
